2019年7月1日 · Technically, a "VoPo Luger" is a Luger that was issued to and used by the East German Volkspolizei ("VoPo"), and is identifiable as such by Volkspolizei property markings. Your Luger is not a VoPo Luger. Rather it is a Luger that was overhauled and exported from Germany after West Germany and the (former) East Germany were reunited into one nation.

2024年3月9日 · The frame is military and belonged to the Weimar Republic at one time. There's no way to know if the receiver made it to the States or not. The East Germans put a new barrel on it dated September, 1953. It is indeed one of the most interesting Vopo Lugers I've seen.

2010年2月4日 · there has already been a discussion on this topic before. I believe that the numbers in the shields identify a specific inspector in a district rather than a specific district. The numbers go to high to mean a specific district. BTW nice pic of the CZ 46 with vopo mark.

2021年1月21日 · By the way, no offense intended, but as a German, I cringe every time I read “VoPo”. While the official abbreviation was DVP or just VP, the word Volkspolizei is a compound noun and is abbreviated as Vopo when written in German. Just like Staatspolizei; nobody writes GestaPo either. The habit of some to write Vopo in all caps is also odd.

2003年12月20日 · The grips are indeed plastic, the "bullseye" is characteristic of grips applied to Lugers refurbished and used by the East German Volks Polizei (VoPo). The witness mark is a strong, single strike applied after the rebarrel. This is the first example of a VoPo witness mark reported to me, and I thank you very much for the picture.

2024年9月17日 · Recently bought a VOPO luger with 2 matching mags and an associated tool that was supposed to be scrubbed and put into use by the East Germans with the luger. In reading over things on the board and looking at different pics, I'm not quite sure if mag number 2 is a real matching second mag or if it has been created to be one (faked).

I saw one recently and was not sure if $1,500 is about right or not with the current market. This had the sunburst marking, some force matched parts and a matching mag, WW I holster, and unmarked tool.
