Then I took a digital photo of our grating, editied it so that I ended up with a jpeg of one square, and then applied that as a texture map. It's not perfect, but it gives the impression of the grating being there on the screen.

Arnold bake to texture using normal map creating artifacts
Sep 29, 2021 · My bake to texture render output is creating artifacts when a normal map is used. Software is Max 2022 with Arnold 4.3.4.12. I do not see anything strange in the normal map itself. Baking without a normal removes artifacts. There are no overlapping UV's or polygons in these areas. Things I've tried: New default Arnold surface using only a normal

Please tell me where i got to plug them in to the ai standard surface shader. i got a normal, height, reflection, roughness, glossiness, ambient occlusion and of course the diffuse maps. i know about normal, diffuse and height, but I dont know about the other maps.
