I_Heart_Astronomy Aperture can't really make up contrast for extended objects unless that extra aperture lets you work at reasonable exit pupils that would otherwise be impossible in a smaller scope (e.g. trying to see Stephen's Quintet at 200x in a 4" scope and 0.5mm exit pupil vs 12" scope at 1.5mm exit pupil).

Apr 13, 2021 · Photoshop - ubiquitous, lots of community knowledge out there, recommend the Astronomy Tools Action Set and GradientXterminator add-in, if you go this route. Downsides: not really designed for light-deprived images like astrophotography and you can sometimes lose detail. Subscription package with Lightroom at $10/mo.

I thought about another smaller telescope but these binoculars on my lightweight tripod seemed more portable. I liked using my Hawke 8x56 which have brilliant glass for their price but they just didn’t have the reach I wanted.
