The XM4 headphones will always be a classic that’s worth it, especially if you can get’em on the cheap. But, if you were asking the same question about the XM5’s, I’d probably tell you to hold off a little bit longer, especially considering the price point will probably be close to what the New XM6’s will sell for.

2023年2月2日 · Iv had a xm4 for 2 years so iv hands on experience with them now idk the diff in both ANC and audio between the xm4 and xm5 but the xm5s will break if you don't take good care of them. Xm4s can take a little negligence from there user.

Look at rtings. They have a graph of both xm4 and xm5 noise cancelling abilities. They’re both comparable so xm4 is the way. Also my brother has the xm4’s and they’re so good I can’t even hear my own footsteps when walking (and I wear glasses). By the way if you’re considering an alternative maybe look at Bose QC Ultra.

2022年4月24日 · The sound is one of the worst I have ever heard. Most of Sony’s own offerings below the XM4 have a better sound. Also, the ANC is quite bad, I’m not sure why anyone would be impressed. It cancels outside noise the most but at the same time introduces a loud white (hissing) background noise.

I made the mistake of buying the XM2's for wireless gaming, without doing enough research. This sony line is terrible for wireless gaming due to the latency being atrocious, worse than many other BT devices. You want headphones with AptX LL or AptX adaptive, or a proprietary wifi dongle, otherwise youll need to use a cord.

I don't know if the XM4 has the same limitation but I have the XM3 and you cannot use the mic in wired mode. This is a bizarre limitation that truly baffles me. Sony itself makes wireless headsets that cost less than $100 and the mic works in wired mode. Meanwhile their $350 premium wireless set does not.
