2024年10月28日 · Those old parks must have been "cleaned", it just doesn't make sense that they were walked on by people from 1905 at a minimum to WW1 (they had 19th century coins in their pockets) and WW2 eras (20s change in their pockets!) well into the 1950s, they must've dropped coins, a large statistical probability I would guesstimate at least 100 coins ...

I have to wonder if the British were sending over their worn out coinage in the later 18th century, when most of these would have been lost. Next oldest would be these two halfpennies, A George II old head (1740 -1754) and an Irish George III dated from the 1760's.
