Same for feed, if this was a slot being cut with a 1/2" wide cutter, .004 or more would be quite acceptable for a feed rate, as there is no greatly reduced tip to take the load and heat of the cut.

As the helix angle increases, the tooth shape in that plane gets more and more distorted if you are using conventional involute gear cutters. 2017年5月1日 · If a cutter isn't marked 14-1/2 or 20 degree pressure angle does that mean it's a 14-1/2? Is 14-1/2 mostly the older stuff and 20 degree the newer? Thank you for your help.
