I like that hook keeper placement, for that application, more than I dislike split grips. Don't take that the wrong way, that I don't like split grips. they're OK, just not my thing.

Which is my preference also since it's simple to use for every type of bait. I wish all rods had them on it. If you search for a rod builder near you they could add one to any rod and it wouldn't be that much.
