China has launched its first-ever amphibious assault ship, marking a significant advancement in its naval capabilities. The Type 076 dual-use assault ship, equipped with an electromagnetic catapult, was unveiled on Friday at the Hudong-Zhonghua shipyard in Shanghai.

China's increased joint military activity with Russia, including a Chinese warship partaking in Russia's Navy Day celebrations in St. Petersburg in July, has raised global concern.
