About ten years ago it was pretty easy to find the trailheads of New Hampshire's most popular hikes. You'd see a fairly long line of cars parked on the shoulder of the road. Generally, since people… James C的完整评论

Moderate hike with amazing views of Squam Lake on summit. About 1.5 hours round trip depending on how long you stay to enjoy the views. nsignawardell的完整评论

I first took my young boys on this hike when they were 4 & 6 y.o. We all made it to the top and they had a blast. I did have my 4 y.o. on my shoulders for about 20 minutes of the uphill hike, but mostly because it started to rain and we wanted to pick up the pace a little bit. I'd recommend the hike for all ages. Take your time and enjoy the ascent. Give yourself at least 20 mins at the top to soak in the view and interesting rock formations.
I am confused as to the length of the hike. I see some folks say it is less than 2 miles round trip and then one writer (tank1050) said it is 1.7 mi. one way. Please clarify, thanks!
One way. It took us seniors about an hour or so up and a bit less coming back down, but e were not booking it like some of the younger folks who passed us along the way.
