We have an opportunity to be in the Snake River area on Sept. 7, 2016. I've looked up average temperatures but it's hard for me as a Floridian to really know what to expect on the river. Will we get wet? What clothing is recommended.

You should not get wet so don't worry about that. It's was warm but very comfortable when we went. I wore long fishing pants as well, to keep sun off and still stay cool. I hope that helps a little! We will be on a bus tour in Jackson Hole and Grand Teton on the 7th of September 2016. A float trip on the Snake River is being offered which sound lovely. However we are Floridians and used to warm weather and don't have very warm clothing. Of course no one can predict the weather on a specific day but I wonder if we will get wet, and just how cold we might be. I don't know at this point what time the float is supposed to start.

I wouldn't go to crazy on layers, but wear enough to be comfortable and be able to take it off when it gets warm. The likely hood of you getting wet is very low. I didn't get wet at all on my trip.
