According to their brochure, which I can't link to due to TripAdvisor's policy, but you can see on the park website, "visitors with disabilities who need assistance should contact the park at (650) 879-2025". Further on, it says "ACCESSIBLE FEATURES The Equal Access Trail, a .27-mile boardwalk, offers views of the elephant seals for visitors who need mobility assistance. A wheelchair accessible van transports visitors from the parking lot to the Equal Access trailhead. Van tour reservations are required; call (650) 879-2033 from November 1 until March 15. Accessible parking, restrooms, and a picnic area are near the accessible Marine Education Center. Beach wheelchairs are also available to access Cove Beach." So, it seems there may be some access to the elephant seals, as well as a short hike you can do. However, I think you'd miss the main portion of the "elephant seal-viewing hike", as it involved walking over quite a bit of sand, including up and down some moderate inclines.
I called for information and it said the are no tours except for self-guided tours and to obtain a pass at the park entrance, however, the website said to make reservatio and there is a cost. Seemingly contradictory, no guided tours at this time only self guide tours for which one gets the pass and park entrance. Do I need a reservation for a self guided tour?
